THE Met have been slammed over their "shocking" treatment of a female officer after she was raped by a monster cop.
Adam Provan, 44, repeatedly raped the woman and a 16-year-old girl in a seven-year reign of terror.
His Met colleague victim was bullied by the fiend, who pinned her down and held a pillow over her face as he attacked her, in a vile campaign.
But her repeated cries for help over his "abuse and harassment" were met with "years of silence" by employers at the force.
Judge Noel Lucas slammed the under-fire Met after Provan was convicted of eight charges of rape.
All the offences were committed while he was a serving officer in the Met's East Area Command Unit.
The judge said: "The treatment by the Met Police of a female officer's complaint was shocking.
"Those who dealt with [the female officer] at the time must feel extremely ashamed of their behaviour."
Wood Green Crown Court was told "Jekyll and Hyde" character Provan would physically and mentally abuse the female officer.
She said he would constantly mock her weight – leaving her feeling "fat and overweight".

Describing one of the attacks, the woman added: "It was the worst thing. It was humiliating. I have never felt so degraded.
“I was under his control. I was young and stupid. I wanted to pretend all was fine.”
Jurors also heard how Provan targeted the 16-year-old girl after meeting her through a friend in 2010.
The predator groomed the dance student and lied about his age – claiming to be 22 – when he was 31 at the time.
He raped her in woodland in Romford after telling the girl he was taking her to the cinema.
Provan also forced her to perform a sex act on him in a children's play area.
The brave teenager has had to go through two trials to see her rapist brought to justice.
She told a relative she had been attacked at the time but it was not reported to police until 2016.
Provan was later convicted and jailed for nine years before being sacked from the Met in March 2019.
But he successfully appealed against those convictions and they were quashed in 2022.
A retrial began in May this year, along with six new counts of rape relating to the second victim.
Provan will be sentenced on August 21.
