Divorcee Mia Khalifa sparks fury with marriage advice – ‘leave these men’

Former adult star Mia Khalifa has sparked controversy online after sharing her thoughts on marriage and divorce.

Mia, who has been married twice and engaged a third time, took to TikTok on Thursday (August 3) to declare marriage isn't sacred.

Instead, she encouraged her female followers to leave their partners "if you feel like you’re not getting anything" from the marriages.

Describing her own marriage history, she said: "Married at 18. Divorced at 21. Second marriage. Married at 25. Divorced at 28. Third engagement. Engaged at 29. Ended it at 30, but I kept the ring."

She continued: "We should not be afraid to leave these men. We are not stuck with these people. Marriage is not a sanctimonious thing. It is paperwork. It is a commitment you make to someone, but if you feel like you’re not getting anything from that commitment and you’re trying, you got to go. You got to go. You have to go.

"I know it’s difficult to fill out paperwork, and to make appointments and to do all of these things, but this is your f*****g life, you want to be stuck with someone?"

Replying to a comment suggesting having children might change her attitude, Mia said: "Of course it's not that easy if you have kids. But what do you want to teach your kids? Do you want to teach them to put up with things simply for the betterment of someone else? And at the end of the day is it for the betterment of your children if you're unhappy?"

Her comments were soon reposted on X where some people weren't best pleased.

One user wrote: "Mia Khalifa, a pornographer, is giving advice regarding the nature marriage as not sacred, but transactional, and that you just leave your husband whenever you feel like it."

Another asked: "Do you take business advice from someone who has failed multiple times in business or from someone who runs a successful business?"

While a third wrote: "Imagine taking a pornstar serious on issues of marriage."

Others, however, came to her defence. Left wing influencer Ed Krassenstein slammed blokes criticising Mia after spending "1% of their lives watching @miakhalifa on their favourite adult website".

He said: "Using a woman merely for your own physical benefit and then completely attacking or discarding her intellectually when she gives an opinion is wrong.

"Of course you can have opinions too. You can even disagree with her. But some people really just need to look in the mirror and realise that the person they are criticising might actually know more than they do themselves."

Mia herself seemed completely unfazed by the backlash. She joked in an X post this morning (Friday, August 4): "He’s not my fiancé, he’s my future ex husband."
