The Enjin ecosystem today welcomed Dvision Network — a South Korean blockchain metaverse built on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain.
Dvision Network to Expand to Enjin’s JumpNet, Efinitys
With an aim to become the first Metaverse to run on five different blockchains, Dvision Network is adopting Enjin’s carbon-negative JumpNet network, in addition to integrations with Efinity and Polkadot. The virtual world was initially launched on Ethereum, expanded to Binance Smart Chain, and is now bringing its cross-chain plans to Enjin’s ecosystem.
Notably, Dvision will leverage Enjin’s platform and API to mint non-fungible tokens (NFTs) for avatars, real estate, and decor. The same NFTs will then be integrated into Dvision’s metaverse character and world creators.
Dvision’s expansion into multiple chains will enable platform users to design unique avatar NFTs via Dvision’s character creator, followed by minting them on their preferred blockchain. Once an NFT has been minted, users will then be able to tap Enjin’s expansive network of bridges to seamlessly move their NFTs across different blockchain networks.
Enabling an Immersive NFT Experience
Users of the platform also have the option to acquire real estate NFTs that will enable them to create their own worlds within the wider Dvision metaverse. Interestingly, users can mint furniture and decorations via Dvision’s cross-chain minting platforms. Later, these NFTs can be placed inside the properties custom-designed by users.
Commenting on the development, Jung Hyun Eom, CEO of Dvision Network, noted:
“We fully recognize the necessity for improving the usability of NFTs. With Ethereum-based NFTs, the creation and possession of the items has come at a major cost for players, who have had to pay huge amounts of money for simple in-game transactions. With the help of Enjin, we will allow users to create NFTs for free, and let the market decide the price, without the burdensome gas fees.”
In addition, Dvision will host a multi-chain marketplace to facilitate NFT creators and collectors to mint and trade their unique NFT creations on their preferred blockchain, a moved aimed at fostering further blockchain interoperability.
Interested users can attend the upcoming Luniverse Partners Day event on July 29-30 to explore the Dvision Network metaverse. The Dvision Network team has its eyes set on opening the cross-chain metaverse publicly in Q3 2021.
