Shares of Vir Biotechnology, Inc. (VIR) are up more than 19% Wednesday morning on the news of it joining S&P SmallCap 600.
The company will be added to the index effective prior to the opening of trading on Monday, April 4.
VIR is at $26.95 currently. It has traded in the range of $20.52-$58 in the past 52 weeks.
