Northern Colorado is getting a bigger presence from Beckman Coulter Life Sciences. The Fortune 500 bioscience precision instruments manufacturer will open a new facility, bringing 85 new jobs. They already have about 130 people working in Loveland.
The Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade (OEDIT) announced Monday, Beckman Coulter Life Sciences selected Colorado for its expanded research and development facility.
“Beckman Coulter Life Sciences will bring 85 good-paying jobs in the key advanced industry of bioscience to Northern Colorado, further positioning our state as a growing industry leader in the area,” said Gov. Jared Polis in a news release. “We want to ensure that the economic recovery is strong throughout the state and I’m excited to announce this welcome news for northern Colorado.”
The jobs will be in scientific research, engineering and project management.
Beckman Coulter Life Sciences is investing $9 million in a new office building near the Colorado Regional Airport in the Axis 25 development.
“We have been on a rapid growth journey in Loveland since 2018 when we started with nearly three-dozen employees,” said Greg Milosevich, President of Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, in a news release. “Our strong business needs required us to ramp up quickly last year, and we’re proud that despite the economic downturn in 2020, we were able to create more than 60 high-paying jobs in Loveland.”
