Ranjani Ramachandra, a former managing director at Barclays Group on its branch in New York, has joined Wells Fargo Securities LLC. According to eFinancialCareers, although the British banking giant promoted Ramachandra to such a management role in December 2020, her tenure was short-lived.
Her FINRA registration shows that his new path at Wells Fargo officially started on September 9, as the US bank has been contemplating additional hires after Ramachandra’s one. The executive, an experienced trader, arrived at the firm to take a highly demanded job role so far this year. In the last decade, she worked in the equity derivatives trading division at Barclays.
According to her LinkedIn profile, she earned a degree in Computer Science Engineering at RV College of Engineering and another one in Financial Engineering at the University of Michigan. During her tenure of over two years at UBS, she worked as an Equity Market Risk Control Intern and Equity Derivatives Trader. She listed her new role at Wells Fargo as a Managing Director, Head of Equity-Linked Products Trading.
As of press time, she hasn’t commented on her new job at the US bank giant.
Recent Wells Fargo Hirings
In recent executive moves done by Wells Fargo, Finance Magnates reported that the firm appointed Ulrike Guigui to Head of Payments Strategy. Guigui, an executive financial veteran, has been named by Wells Fargo, a financial services company with approximately $1.9 trillion in assets, as its new Head of Payments Strategy.
Based in New York City, Guigui will be in charge of leading the company’s enterprise payments strategy. Guigui began with CitiBank in June 1991 in Germany. By working with industry partners, she will position Wells Fargo so it is strategically aligned and positioned for growth opportunities. Additionally, she will report to Ather Williams III, Wells Fargo’s Head of Strategy, Digital, and Innovation.
