Amazon unveils development plans for next phase of Virginia headquarters

(Reuters) – Amazon.com Inc on Tuesday unveiled its development plans for the second phase of its second headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, as it prepares to bring workers back to the office.

The e-commerce giant said bit.ly/3jhtfNa the Virginia headquarters, a long-term investment, would comprise three 22-storey buildings, including one modeled after the geometry of human DNA, a double helix.

Amazon also said it was continuing to hire in Arlington, Virginia, and there were over 600 jobs open. The company said it was committed to creating 25,000 jobs and investing $2.5 billion in the region over the next decade.

Amazon is set to report its holiday-quarter results after markets close on Tuesday.
