Rishi Sunak is facing chaos on all sides following his sacking of Suella Braverman, with the former Home Secretary publishing a scathing letter accusing him of “betrayal”, calling him “weak”.
Ms Braverman claimed the Prime Minister “manifestly and repeatedly failed” to help her deliver her key policies.
Now No10 have been warned it is facing a “grid of s***” from her in the next few days.
Ms Braverman is not the only one who has lashed out at Mr Sunak, with the founders of the New Conservative group of Red Wall Tories accusing the PM of abandoning northern seats in order to save southern ones.
Others have hit out at the PM’s decision to bring in David Cameron as Foreign Secretary, with former Tory donor Peter Cruddas saying of the appointment: “The coup is complete, Remain has won and democracy has lost.”
And further chaos could come today, with Cabinet Ministers awaiting the Supreme Court decision on the Rwanda plan.
To add to Mr Sunak’s woes, the Conservative Party seems to be haemorrhaging support, as a new poll by People Polling for GB News found just 19 percent of the public now say they will vote for the Tories at the next general election.
This is the first time support for the Tories has slipped below 20 percent since Liz Truss announced her resignation.
The poll, which asked 1,581 UK adults how they would vote, found Labour had gained ground with 49 percent. Reform UK was third with 11 percent, followed by the Lib Dems and Green Party on nine and six percent respectively.
With chaos continuing to unfold for Rishi Sunak, should he throw in the towel and quit? Cast your vote in our poll and have your say in the comments.
