Groups of mourners on Whitehall have been left begging security to "let us out" after standing for nearly six hours.
Thousands of people took to London's streets to get the best view of the coffin.
And after the was whisked past at the end of the service, police and apparent private security firms refused to allowed the crowds to leave.

Journalist Aubrey Allegretti, who was on site, tweeted: "Angry chants of 'let us out' from those stuck on one side of Whitehall, being told to wait.
"Cramped together by police and security marshals."
One person who was in the crowded group tweeted: "Whitehall's a s***hole, I wanna go home."
And another added, alongside an image of tightly pack crowds being blocked from crossing a road: "Private security firm MAN in charge in Whitehall and we are now held hostage as the (sic) won't open the gates for another hour."
A third commented: "People were quite urgent to leave on the south side of Whitehall – the opposite side cleared quite quickly too.
"Some people were talking about watching the rest of the funeral and I think some folk were rather eager to find facilities as we had been locked in."
Crowds did appear to clear pretty quickly after the event had finished in the area, with many commenting on the "significant" crowd build-up as people headed to the Westminster tube station as well as for other forms of local transport.
As soon as Allegretti tweeted the news of the issues, many expressed their worries that things could "take a turn", but thankfully for those in the area, it all appeared to calm down soon after without much incident.
While the Whitehall drive-by was the end of the proceedings in the area, it was by no means the end of the funeral overall.
The coffin was being driven from there to Winsdor Castle where a private funeral will take place later this evening.
