- But he was then heckled by an activist who claimed he was talking ‘nonsense’

Anti-vaxxers led by Piers Corbyn stormed a university lecture by Professor Neil Ferguson to demand no more lockdowns, with one activist branding the scientist a ‘f****** murderer’.
The government advisor, who was dubbed ‘Professor Lockdown’ at the heart of the pandemic for insisting on tough restrictions, was giving a talk at King’s College London earlier this week.
But shocking footage has emerged of him being heckled by an audience member during his address.

The anti-lockdown YouTubers loved by Piers Corbyn: Who are Resistance GB?
They are the YouTubers who claim to show the ‘news which the mainstream won’t show you’.
Resistance GB were set up in October 2020 to ‘resist the erosion and abolition of British culture’.
They say their focus is on ‘Natural Rights, Civil Liberties, Police Abuses and Government Criminality in London and wider Great Britain’.
The group, whose logo features a map of the British isles, similar to that of GB News, who were being set up around the same time but to whom they have no relation, claim to feature news which ‘the mainstream news won’t show you’.
But their one notable ‘exclusive’ was an interview with conspiracy theorist and anti-lockdown protester Piers Corbyn – the brother of former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn – as he announced he was running for London Mayor.
The fact Mr Corbyn was a candidate was at some point covered in all major national news outlets.
Many of the videos featured on their social media site are from protests around the UK – which have often featured prominently on major news websites and on news channels.
The channel, which has 64,000 subscribers, is loudly ‘anti-mainstream media’ and have criticised traditional news outlets over their coverage of lockdowns.
In the short clip, posted by Resistance GB, he appears to say: ‘I think the real long-term legacy of this pandemic is going to be the enhanced inequity that it has generated.
‘Basically, the young sacrificed an enormous amount to save the elderly and that’s exacerbated into generational inequity.’
At that point, Prof Ferguson is interrupted by a woman – who unlike most in the lecture theatre audience is not wearing a face covering.
She shouts: ‘And what for? I don’t know how anyone can sit through this nonsense, you’re a f*****g murderer. You’re a f*****g murderer… you’re a f*****g disgrace.’
It comes as daily coronavirus cases have fallen again as another of the country’s top Covid scientists predicted the Britain was now over the ‘last great peak’ of the pandemic.
The Department of Health said there were another 37,269 infections in the last 24 hours, a drop of 6.5 per cent compared to figures from last Thursday.
It marks the 11th time in 12 days that cases have fallen week-on-week and comes as separate official data suggests infection rates are dropping in nine in 10 local authorities.
But hospitalisations and deaths — which lag a few weeks behind cases due to the time it takes for someone to become seriously unwell after catching the virus — are both on the rise.
Some 214 deaths were registered today — up 30 per cent on last week. And the latest hospital data shows there were 1,005 admissions on Sunday.
Separate data from the UK’s largest symptom-tracking study has now started to report a fall in cases for the first time in weeks — bringing the findings in line with the national picture.
Professor Tim Spector, the epidemiologist behind the survey, said the country is probably over the ‘last great peak of Covid’ for the year, but encouraged mask-wearing and social distancing to be safe.
