Well Bachelor Nation, I am pleased to report that The Logan Show has officially ended. And what an anti-climactic finale it was.
As you may recall, Logan was the only contestant on this double-trouble installment of “The Bachelorette” who committed to being Team Rachel, only to switch to Team Gabby midway through the season.
This week, both teams disembarked in Amsterdam – did I mention they are literally traveling on a cruise ship? – to enjoy the canals, the tulips and some Red Light District-inspired fun. Denver’s Gabby Windey, specifically, took five men on a group date to tantalize the senses and talk about sex, baby.
Following the group date, which included whips, whipped cream and safe words such as “asbestos,” show host Jesse Palmer approached Gabby about a “situation.” Turns out, Logan tested positive for COVID-19 – and he was never to be seen or heard from again, at least from the viewers’ perspective.
It seemed a little sudden given how much air time the videographer from San Diego and his questionable haircut had taken up to this point. It’s also worth mentioning that no one else on the show appeared to need to isolate or quarantine despite the fact they had all just hung out together. But I digress.
The week in Amsterdam was pivotal, as it was the last week before the men take Gabby and Rachel to their hometowns to meet their families. Gabby said a tearful goodbye to front-runner Nate, who has a young daughter, because she didn’t feel like she could commit to stepping into the mom role.
She then gave out three roses (instead of the traditional four) with intent of visiting hometowns with men who will henceforth be identified by their safe words: Johnny, Mr. “Pumpkin”; Jason, Sir “Cruise Ship”; and Erich, who wasn’t broadcast picking a safe word. (Logan’s safe word was “asbestos,” which is probably the real reason he left.)
Join us next week as we rank Gabby and the boys head home for a much-needed reality check. It all starts at 7 p.m. MST on ABC.
