Fat cat falls six stories onto car leaving it battered yet walks away unharmed

A hefty cat fell out of the window on the sixth floor, devastating a car below but seemingly walking away unscathed.

Chunky Shifu plummeted from the window of an apartment in Bangkok, Thailand, shattering the rear glass of Apiwat Toyothaka’s red MG below.

Toyothaka’s anger is understood to have faded away when he found the culprit of the incident to be 8.5kg Shifu.

The incident, on May 27, was posted on Facebook with Shifu showing no sign of injury – the same, however, can not be said for the car.

Writing about the incident Toyothaka said: “The condominium manager called me at 7am and told me that a cat fell on my car.

“I was confused about the matter. It was just a cat falling on my car. However, that cat weighed 8.5 kilogrammes and broke the window of my car. Ok, I got it now. #NoMoreMackerel #AlwaysWithCatStory”.

The manager of the flats, Orrasa, told local outlet Channel 3 she was informed of the incident at around 7:30 in the morning.

Upon inspection she was shocked to find broken glass and debris everywhere and underneath the wreckage, unit Shifu.

A check of the security cameras would later reveal the girthy chap falling down onto the motor.

She said Shifu fell from the sixth floor onto the third and then onto the ground, meaning his fall was likely broken somewhat.

The owners of sturdy Shifu were fined 1,000 baht (£23) as pets are not allowed in the apartment block.

Toyothaka is understood to be something of a cat lover and wasn’t at all cross at Shifu or his owner.

Posting an update about the wellbeing of the feline, Toyothaka said: “Update Shifu’s condition (Shifu is named after the character in the animation called Kung Fu Panda).

“Shifu is doing well. He eats, drinks, and excretes as normal. His body bears no wounds or bruises, except for the absence of two of his claws.”
