Firm will pay lucky person £30k to drink booze – but they must be called Gary

A dream job which involves eating cheese and drinking beer all day is up for grabs, and there’s only one catch – you have to be called Gary.

The team at Brew City have opened up the dream role, which will see the lucky winner also given a whopping £30,000.

One candidate will be appointed “Chief Snacking Officer” after applications judged by famous YouTuber JaackMaate.

They will jet off to Boston on a “market research” trip as an official brand taste tester, alongside two pals.

But it is integral to the brand that the person who lands the job is called Gary, after they failed to get former England football star Gary Lineker to join their team.

Brew City Product Manager, Becky Slater explained: "We did our best to steal crisp fan Gary from Leicester, as we thought it was about time he backed a proper snack like ours.

"We always knew it would be a long shot and in the end he couldn’t be torn from the ready salted packets he’s eaten since the early 90s.”

She joked they wanted to find their own “King of Snacks” who can rival Lineker and usher in a new era of snacking.

"We believe our superior hot bites deserve a Chief Snacking Officer who can dedicate some serious time to enjoying them, in exchange for a whopping £30,000. Who wouldn’t want to get paid to eat a years supply of cheese!?

"It might even be worth changing your name to Gary,” Becky joked.

Judge JaackMaate said he was buzzing to help Brew City find their perfect employee despite not being able to apply himself.

He said: "I want to see Garys up and down the country declare their love for snacks and beer, by sharing the best applications they can!

“Garys are often said to be the life and soul of the party… although it is mainly Gary claiming that. So, let’s see it!"

Applicants can head over to Brew City's Instagram page if they want a shot at being given the job.
