An active shooting has left one police officer and five or six other people dead, according to law enforcement.
According to WRAL News, a suspect has been captured and is alive in custody.
The shooting suspect is thought to be a white teenage male with a long gun.
Police had previously cornered the suspect in a barn nearby to the scene where more than a dozen police vehicles were seen parked by a wooded area.

Officers responded to the shooting call on Thursday near the Neuse River Greenway in the Heddingham neighbourhood.
One officer was shot and killed while a second officer was also shot, according to sources who told ABC11.
Gov, Roy Cooper tweeted that he had talked to Raleigh Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin and had begun to deploy state resources to help assist at the scene of the shooting.
NCDPS Secretary Eddie M. Buffaloe Jr. said: "DPS is providing any needed resources as requested in this investigation and working with local law enforcement to stop this shooter".
Police tweeted: "The Raleigh Police Department is currently on the scene of an active shooting in the area of the Neuse River Greenway near Osprey Cove Drive and Bay Harbor Drive.

"Residents in that area are advised to remain in their homes."
It added: "Multiple law enforcement agencies are involved in this investigation."
A follow up tweet read: "Residents in the area of McConnell Oliver Drive, Tarheel Club Drive, and Old Milburnie Road are being advised to remain indoors. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes."
