The Queen deliberately placed Prince George and his siblings Charlotte and Louis "front and centre" at her Platinum Jubilee celebration, a royal expert says.
Television cameras never strayed too far away from the youngest members of the Cambridge family who became star attractions at the several events thrown for their great-grandmother, this weekend.
George, 8, Charlotte, 7, and Louis, 4, cut animated figures to the delight of TV viewers on the famous Buckingham Palace balcony on Thursday for the Trooping of the Colour.
The older pair again joined their parents Prince William and Kate on a royal visit to Cardiff Castle before taking the best seats in the house for Saturday night's Jubilee Party.

According to 'R is for Revenge Dress' author Kinsey Schofield, the children being placed so prominently during the celebrations was down to Her Majesty encouraging Brits to look to the future.
Kinsey told the Daily Star: "I do think it was intentional to have the Cambridge children front and centre because we know that the Queen is asking us to look forward with faith and hope.
"These are young, happy, beautiful children. It is hard not to feel faith and hope when you see their happiness and innocence."

The royal writer heaped praise on how well behaved the princess and princes have been over the bank holiday weekend, even if Louis has a "naughty streak" to be admired.
Kinsey said: "In comparison to the Sussex babies, we are super lucky to see the Cambridge kids when we do. While we see them more often, we still see them so rarely that it is a delight!

"I think they are very well mannered and loving. I especially adore seeing moments like when Princess Charlotte holds Prince Louis’ hand and Prince George looks to his younger siblings for reaction to the crowds.
"I think they are very protective of each other and I admire that. Louis has a little naughty streak in him and will be my forever favourite thanks to his balcony performance."
Kinsey is author of R is for Revenge Dress published by Post Hill Press and Simon & Schuster – out November 15, 2022.
