A Greek woman has been mauled to death by three shepherd dogs after they escaped from their yard.
Neighbours ran to assist the 50-year-old woman, who was in her garden at 2pm on Sunday in the village of Neochorouda, 10 miles from Thessaloniki, Greece’s second largest city.
Despite their attempts to pull the dogs off her, the mother-off-two was bleeding heavily and died from her injuries shortly afterwards.

Police confirmed the dogs had escaped through a hole in their owners’ fence about 80 metres away and ran into the woman’s garden, where she was working.
A man, thought to be deaf and mute, was helping the woman with the gardening but was too far away from her at the moment of attack to help and could not hear her screaming.
Neighbours ran to assist the woman and pried the dogs away from her, but she was severely mauled and bleeding profusely.
