A mum who made £700 by ratting her neighbours out for fly-tipping has revealed she’s going to use the cash to throw a massive party.
The property that mum-of-three Ayyesha lives next to has been abandoned for so long that fly-tippers have used it as a dumping ground.
But after spending ages looking at the “neighbourhood eyesore,” Ayesha, from Smethwick in the West Midlands, managed to make a tidy bit of profit from her rubbish situation.

The 29-year-old, who works as a manager for student accommodation, contacted YouSpotProperty.com, which pays the members of the public in cash for reporting abandoned properties, after she became fed up with the “neighbourhood eyesore”.
Ayyesha said: “We know from neighbours that the owner had once lived in it years back, yet for the past five years that we’ve lived next door, it had been left unoccupied – he’d returned maybe once a year only to sweep the front step.
She said no action was taken and fly-tippers eventually started dumping their rubbish, including mattresses, in the front garden.
The mum added: “We knew who the owner was and tried to track him down, but he failed to respond to any of our concerns, much to our frustration.”
After contacting the property spotters, she was then delighted to find out that because it had been sold, she was in line for £700, as she was owed up to 1% of the sale of the house next door.

“I called YouSpotProperty following the email and was immediately answered by their finance controller who said ‘you must be Ayyesha’ – I was gobsmacked and overjoyed.”
She said that because she didn't get to celebrate her 18th or 21st birthday, she decided to go all out and spend the cash on a mega 30th birthday party.
“Initially, I thought I would be getting another voucher, following the £20 Amazon one I received in 2022 for spotting the house – I hadn’t clocked the one per cent reward incentive linked to the firm actually purchasing the property.”
