Social media has erupted in celebration for Johnny Depp after a jury awarded him $15million in damages from his ex-wife Amber Heard at the dramatic conclusion of their blockbuster defamation trial.
The jury found both Heard and Depp defamed each other, but that she was guilty of defaming him more.
She was ordered to pay him $15million in damages in total.
Despite the fact that Johnny was found guilty on some counts and ordered to pay him $2million in damages, it was a clear courtroom victory for Depp.
He is in the UK and was spotted in a pub on Wednesday as the verdict was coming down.
Heard was in court and kept her head down as the verdict was read aloud. She has since released a statement through her attorneys to say the verdict is a setback for domestic violence victims.
