Kate Middleton appeared to shut down once and for all that she is pregnant during a royal engagement with Prince William.
After the Duchess of Cambridge took an extended break out of the public eye over the summer, speculation was rife that she may be expecting her fourth child.
But royal commentators were quick to quash the rumors, pointing out she was simply enjoying a holiday with her family – as is normal for royals over the summer.
And Kate herself now seems to have put the speculation to bed by enjoying a tipple with her husband Wills this week.
The couple visited Derry-Londonderry in Northern Ireland on Wednesday (September 29) and their first stop was Ulster University’s Magee Campus.
To celebrate Northern Ireland’s culture, the Cambridges were offered alcoholic beverages including whiskey and Guinness.
And, as footage from the even showed, Kate opted for a half pint of Guinness.
Drinking alcohol while pregnant can lead to long-term harm for the baby, so such an act by the future Queen showed there was no substance to the rumours.
Royal expert Russell Myers previously explained the real reason for Kate’s absence over the summer.
“I think this is a few people mischief-making, asking where the royal are,” he told Today Australia.
“Well, I can exclusively reveal probably nothing.
“I think that the Duchess isn't pregnant, I think that some people have been asking the question of where has Kate been?
“But where the truth really lies is they have been on holiday.”
And royal commentator Nick Bullen also explained how the couple always wanted a family of five, following in Kate’s parent’s footsteps.
Fans of the Duchess, though, were still “looking for a baby bump” after her first outing failed to quell the baby rumors in September.
