Man, 50, charged with murder after Ruth Hufton, 46, found dead in her Beeston flat | The Sun

A MAN has today been charged with murder after a woman was found dead in her Beeston flat.

The body of Ruth Hufton, 46, was tragically discovered on Monday, with police quickly arresting Anthony Green the following day.

The 50-year-old has now been charged with Ruth's death.

Emergency services were raced to her County Close, Beeston flat on Monday and tragically found her body.

Green, also of County Close, appeared in Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today.

He only spoke to confirm his name and is set to appear in the Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday.

NottinghamshireLive reported the court heard Ruth's dad had reported her missing before she was found dead by police.

Nottinghamshire Police this morning said: "Ruth’s family are being supported by specially trained officers and have asked for privacy and no approaches by media during this incredibly difficult time."
