A man allegedly dismembered his dad before placing the body parts in rubbish bags and putting his head in the freezer.
Donald Meshey Jr, 32, from Lancaster in Pennsylvania, the US, said he had found a “cadaver doll” in his dad’s bed on Tuesday, August 10.
He told investigators he stabbed it before putting the arms, legs and head in a rubbish bag, according to police.
Meshey placed the torso in a footlocker, it is claimed.
A neighbour called officers the following day after spotting Meshey moving his dad’s head, Penn Live reports.
When officers arrived at the scene, he took them to the kitchen and allegedly removed the head from the freezer.
Officers identified the victim as 67-year-old Donald Meshey Sr.
The coroner’s office gave the cause of death as multiple stab wounds.
Meshey, who worked as a truck driver, allegedly used an eight or nine-inch knife to stab the victim before taking the corpse apart with a hand saw.
He has been charged with criminal homicide, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence.
Meshey is currently being held in Lancaster County Prison, and has yet to be scheduled for a court appearance.
