Meghan lets Harry ‘make a clot of himself’ while she focuses on deals – expert

Meghan Markle has stepped back from appearing in the limelight with Prince Harry to focus on her Netflix and Spotify projects, a royal commentator has claimed.

Meghan had not been seen in public this year until she accepted a prestigious civil rights award alongside her husband at the end of February.

The former actress gave birth to her daughter Lilibet in June last year, and the couple have so far only released one picture of the nine-month old to the public.

Now royal commentator Neil Sean has claimed that Meghan’s lack of public appearances alongside her husband may be a deliberate tactic.

“It seemingly is Prince Harry that is being left to make an absolute clot of himself on things like Zoom, and in videos and media,” he claimed in a video on his YouTube channel.

“It appears that Meghan herself is quite happy to step back from the limelight, particularly with the Invictus Games and that weird and wonderful orange-themed video from Prince Harry.”

A spokesperson for the Sussexes’ charity Archewell recently announced that the couple would finally be releasing their long-awaited Spotify podcast this summer, although mention of Harry was notably absent.

This has led to some speculation that Meghan will be heading up the audio project, and Neil emphasised that the Duchess is keen to concentrate on her media work.

He continued: “Meghan herself apparently has decided that she wants to step out of the limelight so that she’s not overexposed, as apparently she feels that she wants people to focus on the good works that she’s doing.

“This apparently will be the Netflix production of Pearl, the cartoon that she announced about a year ago. And then of course we can look forward to something on Spotify; apparently more podcast work.

“But she feels that by being overexposed then people may get bored of her… It seems that Meghan only wants to be seen as and when she chooses.”

Neil suggested that the tactic of stepping back from the spotlight would help Meghan to avoid attracting the criticism that has been attached to Harry for his decision not to return to the UK for Prince Philip’s memorial this month.

“Harry can simply do what he wishes, but the dafter he looks the further away she will be,” he added.
