One man is dead after a hit-and-run in Westminster, and police are searching for a suspect.
Police responded to an incident before 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday at 70th Avenue and Federal Boulevard.
An adult male was walking west on 70th when he was struck by a car going south on Federal. After hitting the pedestrian, the vehicle fled the scene.
The man was transported to the hospital, where he died from injuries due to the crash.
The Adams County Coroner’s Office has yet to release the identity of the victim.
The suspected vehicle is described as a 2018 or newer model of a black Ford Fusion. The vehicle should have severe right-side and front-end damage, though the license plate number is unknown.
Police are asking anyone with information to call 303-658-4360. Anyone with a tip may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
