Putin’s double is ‘complete idiot’ and ‘incomparably stupider’ than real Vlad

The body double of Russian President Vladimir Putin has been dubbed a “complete idiot” by a Kremlin source.

The scathing attack continued with the source labelling him “incomparably stupider” than the real Vlad. In another bizarre twist of the is-he-isn't-he-dead-or-alive saga surrounding the war mad Russian leader, the source of the claims stating that Putin had died of a heart attack last week and the country was now being run by a body double has launched a scathing attack on the double.

The comments were made after the body double attended meetings and gave public comments in Russian media. Specifying that the anger has come over the double's recent economic public comments, the source from the General SVR Telegram channel said: “Yesterday, the president’s double held a meeting on economic issues via video link.

“The understudy showed himself to be an 'economist' worse than Putin by talking nonsense about 'screwdrivers and needles' on which 'bed bugs' from Europe could break into Russia. It should be noted that the understudy is incomparably stupider than the-late Putin which becomes especially noticeable after he receives permission from his curators to express his own opinion on certain issues.

“The more the understudy opens his mouth when moving away from the written text, the more obvious it is that he is a complete idiot. But Nikolai Patrushev (the country's security minister and bloke thought to be pulling the strings of the double) has nowhere to go yet, he has no other identical doubles of the President.”

The Kremlin has constantly denied that Putin has been suffering from health issues and is, or could be, dead – but the source on Telegram continues to claim otherwise. When rumours first surfaced, Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov claimed that it was all just an “absurd information canard”.

He said: “This belongs to the category of absurd information hoaxes that a whole series of media discuss with enviable tenacity – this evokes nothing but a smile.”
