Russia has showcased a new unmanned weapon that gives targets few options when it comes to saving their own bacon.
The horrific efficancy of drones and thermobaric weaponry has already been a big talking point since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine – and now their mutually terrifying capabilities look set to be united.
Designed and built to obliterate individual objects, the drone comes in 2kg or 4kg sizes and – like all thermobaric weapons – is particularly effective when it comes to targets inside buildings and fortifications, meaning there often isn’t anywhere to hide.

The news comes hot on the heels of a military expert explaining to the Daily Star that the odds for a swift resolution in Ukraine are looking minimal.
General Sir Richard Barrons explained to this outlet that he felt the war in Ukraine could feasibly run to 2026.

He explained: “[The] most likely outcome, I think, is that in 2024, 25 or 26 Ukraine reaches a point where it feels it cannot shift any more of the Russian hold on territory militarily and is then encouraged by the West to pursue restitution by other means [like politics or diplomacy] in return for NATO membership and a multi-billion dollar or euro reconstruction effort.
“The conflict is frozen because neither side can gain more by fighting nor agree to give up. We are a long way from that now, hence the serious talk of taking back Crimea.”
