A surfer has recounted the horrific moment an 11ft great white shark tried to rip off his leg.
Jack Frost managed to swim to shore at Gnarabup Beach in Western Australia – despite the massive beast mauling his leg which, was left with what one onlooker described to 9News as, "a lot of blood" pouring from it.
The 24-year-old had been surfing in the Margaret River region when he was ambushed and in the fighting "ended up getting on its back".

Speaking to theAugusta Margaret River Timeshe said: "It's just come from straight up beneath me.
"It hit me with such force it knocked me off the board and I did a backflip."
Describing the battle, he said: "I'm thinking, if I don't show it I'm a contender, it's just going to nail me again.
"I ended up getting up on its back and hitting it in the back of the head."
He told WA Today how he ended up hitting it on its side, aiming for the gills before it "shot down into the depths".
He added how he kept telling himself: "You’re going to be all right, you’re going to survive".
A Swellnet camera caught the massive Shark approaching him as a wave broke then, as the sea calmed again, it sunk its teeth into him sending his board flying.
He was hundreds of metres from shore when the shark sunk its teeth into him.
Despite losing a “lot of blood” he was able to paddle back to shore where an off-duty nurse was able to administer first aid before he was taken to Margaret River Hospital.
Labelled a hero by observers, he was later credited with "saving his own life".
