This is the heart-stopping moment a hero police officer saved a troubled teenager who jumped onto train tracks in front of an oncoming train.
CCTV footage filmed on March 23 in Vitthalwadi Railway station, Thane District, Maharashtra, India, shows the boy loitering around the edge of the platform.
The police officer in khaki uniform walks past him and then turns around, telling him to move away from the platform.
But the teenager jumps on the train tracks and falls backwards and the police officer then runs to get him.

Moments after he pulls him off the track, a train speeds past them and people watch on, horrified, after the near miss.
The boy was taken to Kalyan Railway Police station where officers called his parents.
Online, the officer was hailed a hero for jumping on the tracks to save the boy.
Vikram Karandikar said: ‘Give that policeman a medal and an appropriate award.’
Another commented: ‘Responded like James Bond and deserves award and promotion.
Another added: ‘ Very risky but an act of humanity.
‘This man deserves a lot of respect.’
Others wrote: ‘Good man and a real gem! He didn’t hesitate for a minute!’
And another said: ‘Brave man’ while a different commenter added: ‘Truly heroic act.’
The viral video has racked up 304,000 views and 10,500 likes on Twitter, after the officer’s bravery was praised.
