A thief rode a scooter into a Manhattan parking garage and then drove out in a stolen BMW — first crashing it through a metal gate in a brazen heist caught on video, according to police.
Surveillance footage taken from inside an East 34th Street parking garage on Thursday around 5:20 a.m. shows the gray sedan barreling around a corner, plowing through the garage door and out onto the street.
Police said the keys had been left in the car, which was recovered.
Cops are seeking the public’s help in identifying the alleged thief, who faces a charge of grand larceny.
