A car carrying “high levels” of radiation has been stopped on the border between Croatia and Serbia. Three Croatians were arrested at the border crossing in the town of Bezdan on Saturday.
SOinfo reports that it received information on the incident. They say sensors detected the presence of radioactive material in the vehicle.
After the incident was reported, a team from Vinča arrived and confirmed that radioactive material was inside the vehicle.
Police and border officers who were present at the scene were ordered to dispose of their clothes due to fears of high radiation levels.
The vehicle and the radioactive material were stopped at the Bezdan border crossing for 24 hours.
