Team GB rowers have won bronze in the men’s eight at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
In a high-octane race, Great Britain were denied a higher spot on the podium after New Zealand claimed gold and Germany narrowly pipped them to silver.
It is Britain’s second medal of the Tokyo Olympics rowing regatta after a silver in the men’s quadruple sculls on Wednesday.
A little earlier, there was disappointment for Team GB’s Vicky Thornley, who agonisingly missed out on a medal in the women’s single sculls at the Sea Forest Waterway.
She lost out on bronze to Austria’s Magdalena Lobnig – and had been bidding for a second Olympic medal after winning double sculls silver alongside Dame Katherine Grainger in Rio five years ago.
