Twitter users were today experiencing outages as technical problems hit the network in the build-up to Prince Philip’s funeral.
The social media platform began going down for some people from 1am UK time and issues have been continuing today.
In a statement, Twitter Support said: ‘Tweets may not be loading for some of you. We’re working on fixing a problem and you’ll be back on the timeline soon.’

Website Down Detector found reports of Twitter outages spiked at around 1am and again at 1pm.
Users have complained about being unable to log onto the app while others claimed tweets were not loading.
The issues are also affecting people in Mexico, South America, South Africa and the Philippines.
It follows a tumultuous start to the year in which the company permanently suspended then-US president Donald Trump’s account and expanded its use of warning labels to target misleading posts about coronavirus vaccines.
