Two men have been arrested on suspicion of shooting a woman dead in the back garden of her home, police have said.
Detectives have released new information regarding the murder of Ashley Dale, the woman killed in her own home last August in Old Swan.
Two men aged 40 and 28 from the Huyton, Merseyside area have since been arrested on suspicion of murder and possession of a firearm with intent.
A total of 15 people have been arrested in connection with Ashley's murder, with nobody yet charged in relation to the murder which occurred in August.
Ashley, 28, was found with gunshot wounds in her back garden at around 12.40am on Sunday, August 21.
Officers had been called to her address on Leinster Road, with emergency services attending the scene, finding Ashley with gunshot wounds after calls were made regarding concerns over her safety.
Following the arrival of emergency services, Ashley was taken to hospital but tragically died a short time later.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police has appealed to the public for any further information on the murder, with a statement released directing people to where they can give information.
Their statement read: "If you haven’t already come forward with information, please pass this directly to our investigation team through our online portal: Public Portal (mipp.police.uk).
"This will make sure that your information is received and acted on as quickly as possible by detectives.
"You can also contact us via social media @MerPolCC or call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference 22000615873."
Daily Star previously reported that police would leave "no stone unturned" as they investigated the murder of the 28-year-old.
A previous police statement read: "Gun crime has no place on the streets of Merseyside and we will leave no stone unturned to bring those responsible for justice. An investigation is underway and a number of lines of enquiry are currently being investigated."
