A man is in hospital after he was shot by police in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The man, aged in his 20s, was shot in the town of Pingelly, around 160 kilometres south-east of Perth.

WA Police Deputy Commissioner Allan Adams said police received multiple calls at around 4.15am relating to the man’s behaviour.
“When police arrived the 20-year-old ran from the address armed with knives towards police who told him to stop,” he said.
Adams said officers deployed a taser and then fired a single shot.
Police conducted first aid and the man is currently in hospital in Perth in a stable condition.
