SUMMER is finally upon us and that means that you can finally spend some quality time as a family while children are out of school and you might decide to take a break from work.
Here is when schools across the UK break up for summer 2022 so that you can plan your holiday.
When do schools break up for summer 2022?
School term and holiday dates are usually set more than 18 months in advance of the academic year.
But dates vary between areas.
You can find out when your school breaks up by putting your postcode on the government's website.
England
In England, most schools will break up for the summer on Friday 22 July.
Most English schools are expected to return on August 31 or September 1.
Scotland
Scottish schools break up earlier, with most closing for the summer on Friday, July 1.

You can find out the dates of the school holidays on the Scottish government website.
Most Scottish school are expected to return to teaching ways on August 17.
Wales
The summer break in Wales starts on Monday, July 25.
The autumn term will probably be starting on September 2 in Wales.

Most Northern Irish students will enjoy two months of summer.
They are expected to break up on July 1 and then head back to school on September 1.
When do schools restart after the summer break?
Most schools will start the autumn term on September 1 while Scotland will get a head start on August 17.
