The daughter of WWE legend Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has finally made her long-awaited WWE debut, but not in a way fans were expecting.
Simone Johnson, 21, signed for the company her father become an icon for in 2020.
And fans had expected her to debut in her own right, with some kind of tribute gimmick to her father.

But in a shocking turn of events, Simone, who now goes under the name of Ava Raine, debuted on WWE's NXT programme in a way nobody saw coming.
Teaming up with British tag team The Dyad, consisting of Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid – formerly known as Zac Gibson and James Drake – she joined the mysterious angsty group known as Schism.
The trio are led by Joe Gacy, who is very much in the mould of a preacher gimmick.
Raine revealed herself as the hooded mystery member of the group and cut a simple yet telling promo to make it known that she is shedding the roots her multi-time champion father left for her.
She said: “The love and acceptance the Schism has given me defies any pre-conceived notions of who I'm supposed to be.
“This family completes me.”
Her debut also makes her the WWE's first ever fourth generation wrestler.
Ava took to Instagram after her debut, posting a picture of herself with just a simple message.
She posted: “Saved.”

And fans took to social media to express their shock at the debut of the legend's daughter.
One wrote: “We have to start calling her father Dwayne Raine for now on.”
And a second posted: “I think it would have been good for her to be introduced as the Rock's daughter as for people who might not recognize her or for people to get an idea of where she comes from.
“Once she continues her career, she can be separate from just 'The Rock’s daughter'.”
A third wrote: “They really should have just called her The Pebble or The Stone.”

Many fans also commented on just how much she looks like her father – which is not a shock given how genetics actually works.
The Rock commented previously on his daughter's name change – which was announced around six months ago on social media.
Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel, he said: "I always like to say that name Ava Raine can mean a lot of things.

“But to me in my mind, it means she's going to lay the SmackDown on candy a**es.”
Ironically, some people in America might have actually missed his daughter's debut, as a new wrestling documentary show called Tales From The Territories was debuting at the exact same time on Vice TV – and it was produced by The Rock.
