Blockchain-Powered HUMAN Protocol Taps Solana To Expand Its Labor Pool Marketplaces

The HUMAN Protocol is aiming to launch decentralized labor pools on Solana‘s blockchain infrastructure.

HUMAN Protocol is a hybrid framework for powering distributed marketplaces that reward humans for contributing their reasoning, skills and knowledge to help machines get the job done. Powered by blockchain technology for a more seamless management and settlement process, the HUMAN Protocol provides a fully-audited open source framework for decentralized labor markets to be built, connecting information seekers with a distributed human knowledge marketplace.

Solana claims to be the world’s first web-scale blockchain that delivers layer 2 performance with layer 1 security and simplicity. It claims to achieve massive performance leaps through a set of coordinated optimizations that reach deep into how code compiles at the processor level. It currently supports 50-65k transactions per second and 400ms block times, with 50 nodes on its public testnet. It is specifically built to scale transaction throughput without sacrificing decentralization or security. The core Solana innovation is Proof of History (POH), a globally-available, permissionless source of time in the network that works before consensus.

According to the HUMAN Protocol, they are working with Solana to solve challenges unique to handling a vast number of on-chain transactions and settling labor pools, as well as payments quickly. Leveraging Solana’s high-throughput blockchain, wide validator support, and robust architecture, HUMAN Protocol believes its technology will be able to scale at ease with Solana, a fundamental component to extracting more nuanced data models.

As part of HUMAN Protocol’s job interfaces, users are planned to be able to access the Protocol’s toolstack, including Intel’s CVAT (Computer Vision Annotation Tool) a free, open source, web-based image and video annotation tool used for labeling data for computer vision algorithms. The Protocol aims to enable them to search, list, and discover new types of data-labeling work, joining or creating human labor pools.

The HUMAN Protocol Foundation believes that integrating with Solana has the potential to provide enormous processing capabilities for labor pools and payment settling that can increase efficiency.
