But we tested it and found that it works muscles all over the body including the quads, biceps and shoulders (and, yes, the glutes). The machine uses resistance cables and pulling motions that pack a serious punch to provide an excellent way to add some strength training to your workout routine.

But Amazon reviewers love the T-series from the same brand, which offers a cushioned, foldable deck, speeds up to 10 miles per hour, inclines up to 10% and a 20- by 55-inch belt. It also comes with a one-month free trial of iFit, NordicTrack’s workout app.

Schwinn IC4 at Amazon for $799.20 (Save $199.80): We deemed the Schwinn IC4 our best “basic” bike in our test of exercise bikes, thanks to its solid, easy-to-assemble build, smooth pedals and ability to pair with any bike-centric workout (including Peloton) with a smartphone or tablet. It’s a great deal as is, so getting it for nearly $200 less than usual feels almost too good to be true.
- Hydrow Connected Rower at Best Buy for $1,994.99 (Save $250): This connected rower makes you feel like you’re gliding on open water (well, almost) thanks to its classes that are filmed on real bodies of water all over the country, from Boston to Chattanooga to Miami. When we tested it, we loved its sturdy build, engaging instructors, and smooth pulls on the handle—and getting it for $250 less than usual is a great bonus.
