Crypto Entrepreneurs Donate Millions to The India Covid Relief Campaign

A group of the world’s most successful crypto and internet entrepreneurs have pledged their support for the grave situation in India, as Covid spins out of control in that country. Justin Sun, the Founder of the TRON network and TRX coin has just donated a generous 2 million TRX to the India Covid Relief Campaign. He has joined Indian crypto entrepreneur, Sandeep Nailwal, who started the fund, and then Vitalik Buterin, founder of Ethereum, who then donated 100 ETH and 100 MKR to the worthy cause.

As the situation in India becomes ever more frightening, with people lining the streets outside hospitals, and patients being turned away as the healthcare system collapses under the weight of the huge volume of Covid cases which has become out of control, individuals and countries are jumping to the rescue.

Some countries, like the UK are sending much-needed ventilators, others like Israel are sending money, and India plans to use the donated funds to build over 200 oxygen plants, in order to develop and supply much-needed oxygen to the hospitals. Meanwhile, the US has opened its export borders, to send raw materials to the country, so that it may speed up its development of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

India has reported over 350,000 cases in the last 24 hour period, with the pandemic showing no signs of slowing there. Delhi has called for an extension to the lockdown across India, in a bid to control the spread of the virus.
