The former Chancellor said his party had already “got Brexit done, now I’ll make Brexit sing”. This, he added, would start by “rebuilding the economy” – he has promised to cut taxes, though critics have highlighted that it is just a matter of months since he raised them. Mr Sunak wrote in the Sun: “I would cut unnecessary bureaucracy and improve regulation to help make the UK the best place in the world to invest and start a business.”

Rishi Sunak has pledged to “make Brexit sing” if he is elected the next Tory leader and prime minister.
The former Chancellor promised to “cut unnecessary bureaucracy and improve regulation” to make the most of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU.
He wrote in the Sun that this would help to “make the UK the best place in the world to invest and start a business”.
