Another 100 migrants have arrived by boat at Dover as Border Force officials hand out water bottles amid climbing summer temperatures, as Channel crossings passed 13,000 this year.
It comes after a group of 40 migrants including young children set out on an inflatable boat bound for Britain from France today, with one migrant flipping the finger at the photographer documenting the departures.
The latest arrivals, which included two people who appeared to injured, were escorted into Dover harbour in Kent on board Border Force catamaran Typhoon shortly after 11am.
The mostly male group seemed relieved to reach British soil, smiling at onlookers as they arrived.
But one man seemed to have sustained a leg injury — limping as he disembarked the boat, while another migrant clutched a tissue to his nose as though he was attempting to stem blood flow from a nosebleed.
Border Force officials could be seen handing out water bottles as temperatures reached highs of 75.2F (24C) in Dover.
Today’s arrivals were escorted off the vessel by Border Force staff wearing white hazmat suits, before being led along the walkway by soldiers dressed in camouflage fatigues.
Among them were two sleeping toddlers who had to be carried off the boat. UK officials removed their life jackets and loaded them onto a coach to be taken for processing.

Attempts by Britain to begin deporting asylum seekers to Rwanda for processing — which is intended to serve as a deterrent — have been held up by court action.
According to government figures 28,526 people made the journey in 2021 — compared to 8,410 who arrived in 2020.
France claims its security forces prevented 61 percent of attempted crossings this year, up 4.2 percent from the period last year.
A Government spokesperson said at the time: ‘The rise in dangerous Channel crossings is unacceptable.
‘Not only are they an overt abuse of our immigration laws, but they risk lives and hinder our ability to help refugees who come to the UK through safe and legal routes.
‘The Nationality and Borders Act will enable us to crack down on abuse of the system and the evil people smugglers, who will now be subject to a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
‘Under our new Migration and Economic Development Partnership with Rwanda, we are continuing preparations to relocate those who are making dangerous, unnecessary and illegal journeys into the UK in order for their claims to be considered and rebuild their lives.’
