- In the space of two minutes dashcam footage unfolds like a Hollywood trailer
- The clip went viral within moments of being posted online by dashcam fans
- The amazing scenes were captured at a T-junction in a north Darwin suburb
- There are fight scenes, love scenes, comedy scenes and a police investigation
It has all the makings of the trailer for a Hollywood blockbuster, but an amazing dashcam video clip is actually just a snapshot of one night in the Northern Territory.
In the space of just two minutes it takes viewers on a rollercoaster with several surprise twists along the way, leading up to a finale a few might have seen coming.
The clip went viral within minutes of being posted by Dash Cam Owners Australia on their YouTube channel, attracting hundreds of comments from amazed viewers.
It gets straight into the action from the opening moment with a ute seen tearing down the highway before the driver slams on the brakes and it skids to a halt.
The driver with the dash cam stops his car at the T-junction of Patterson Street and Vanderlin Drive in Darwin’s northern suburb of Malak, near Casuarina.
The ute’s barefoot passenger is then seen trying to get out the vehicle – but the passenger door immediately falls off one of its hinges as he exits the vehicle.
The driver jumps out the other side and pair shout at each other before the two square up to each other in the nature strip of the dual carriageway.
‘F***, I’ve got some random s*** going on in front of me here,’ the man taking the video can be heard saying s he watches on in amazement.
‘F*** me dead.
‘Two dudes about to try and kill each other.’

But just as the row gets ever more heated and the pair look to lash out at each other on the central reservation, they suddenly start to hug and appear to share an intimate embrace.
‘They don’t know whether to hug each other or kill each other,’ gasps the dashcam driver as a third man gets out of the car to join the love-in.
But just as they all kiss and make up and the passenger jogs back round to his side of the vehicle – with the door still hanging off – a police car arrives on the scene.
As the passenger tries to fix his door back on, the police car pulls up and the driver of the ute shoots off, leaving the third man and the passenger to face the law alone.

‘And they’re off and racing,’ adds the dashcam commentator. ‘They’ve taken off – it’s all happening!’
Both men left behind can be seen waving and gesticulating wildly into the black night as police call them over to question them.
But just when the video looked over, the dashcam driver returned to his own journey – and caught up with the ute slightly further down the road.
However this time, the ute was wrapped around a tree, with more skidmarks in the road leading up to the collision point.
A low-loader tow truck blocked the entire road as the vehicle was pulled out and taken away.

Audio on the dashcam footage suggested the driver had escaped with only minor shoulder injuries sustained from his seatbelt when he slammed into the tree.
The video thrilled viewers on YouTube with almost 450 comments on the clip in just one hour.
‘Lamborghini have the scissor doors, Aston Martin have the swan doors, Mercedes have the gullwing doors and bogans have the drop doors,’ posted one.
‘It’s hard to believe that he lost control of that well maintained vehicle,’ added another dryly.
‘This behaviour is utterly appalling and bloody hilarious – go Aussie!’

‘Good old Darwin – I miss seeing this s*** randomly,’ one former local posted.
Another said: ‘Oddly enough, that’s a pretty good summary of my 2020/2021,’ while someone else insisted: ‘I’ve never seen this much chaos in 2 minutes.’
And Jimmy Metcalfe from Darwin added: ‘As a fellow Darwin resident… I don’t see a problem here – just s*** taking care of itself (as it usually does.) Nice job lads!
‘Great video too, felt like I was there!
‘Ol’ mate with the cam is the Martin Scorsese of cammers… Oscar-winning performance!”
