Brian Laundrie and Gabby Petito arrived at diner 'on foot without van' before fight with waitress, manager says

A MANAGER of a Wyoming restaurant has claimed that he saw Brian Laundrie and his fiancee Gabby Petito on August 27 – though the couple did not arrive in their van.

Laundrie and Petito had been traveling across the U.S. since July, detailing their journey on social media.

But a manager at The Merry Piglets Mexican Grill in Jackson, Wyoming, told NBC News that couple arrived on foot, without their white Ford van.

Petito's body was discovered in a Wyoming camp site on Sunday, and a coroners report said that her death is believed to be homicide.

The couple were on a four-month-long journey across America when Laundrie returned to his parents' home in Florida without Petito on September 1.

RESTAURANT SIGHTING

He has not been heard from or seen since last Tuesday, and authorities in Florida have been searching an area of swampland near his family home.

The Wyoming restaurant manager's account may be one of the last-known sightings of Petito and Laundrie together.

Earlier today, a photographer, speaking to Fox News, also claimed she saw Laundrie getting involved in an explosive with a waitress at the Wyoming restaurant.

Nina Celie Angelo, of New Orleans, said she had been visiting the state with her boyfriend on August 27 when they stopped for lunch at Merry Piglets, between 1 and 2pm.

Angelo claims she watched on in shock as an agitated Laundrie began arguing with a waitress. Petito was with him at the time, she said.

While she said she couldn't hear what words were being exchanged between Laundrie and the woman, she believed the spat was either over the bill or about money.

Angelo described Laundrie's body language as "aggressive" and said that he left and returned to the restaurant around four times, continuing the conflict.

At one stage, Petito came inside and apologized for Laundrie’s behavior, Angelo alleged.

'WAITRESS ARGUMENT'

"I have chills right now," Nina Celie Angelo said, recounting the incident.

"It's crazy because it wasn't just like we passed them on the street — it was a full-blown incident."

Angelo also uploaded a lengthy account of her alleged encounter with Laundrie and Petito to her Instagram page on Wednesday.

On Thursday, a federal warrant was issued for Laundrie's arrest.
