A man is still unable to work two months after he was robbed, stabbed, and left for dead between some cars and a rubbish bin while on a stag do in Portugal.
Alex Evans, a 33-year-old dad from Treherbert, Wales, has no memory of the attack that happened on May 15 but woke up in a hospital in where doctors desperately tried to heal him.
Unable to stop his liver bleeding, medics transferred him to intensive care where he spent two days before being transferred to Faro hospital, where he spent another eight, WalesOnline reports.

Back home, Alex's parents desperately tried to get to London from Treherbert, hoping they could fly out to be at his bedside.
When Alex was finally discharged his mum, Bev, was there to greet him.
"He was walking holding his paperwork in one hand and his stomach in the other," she recalled.
Because Alex was treated in Portugal, everything was conducted in Portuguese – meaning Alex and his family don't know the full extent of his injuries, including how deep the knife penetrated his stomach.
"Since coming home we've tried different avenues," said Alex. "It's frustrating really – you just want to know more than anything."
What Alex does know is that his injuries have caused damage to his intestines, spleen, and liver, and that he now has a large scar from his ribs to below his belly button, where surgeons had to operate on him in Faro.

"We'd gone on a night out," Alex recalled.
"It was going really well until I got split up from the boys and I decided to start walking home. I was pretty close to the hotel where we were staying. A group of boys came up to me and asked me where I was going.
"That's all I remember. I woke up a day later in hospital being told I'd been stabbed."
Police told Alex the thieves went after him for his mobile phone, watch, and wallet, although there is still very little information available about the incident.
A heroic stranger found Alex unconscious and phoned emergency services, which doctors credit for having saved Alex's life.
Alex was able to trace his saviour and send him a birthday present by way of saying thank you.
The vehicle technician has been advised by doctors to take six months off work. He also has to wait six months before being diagnosed with PTSD, but is already showing tell-tale signs of the condition, suffering flashbacks and insomnia.
And in harrowing news, Alex isn't the only one who has suffered an attack of this nature.
Dad of four Joel Collins, 35, was stabbed at the beginning of July and remains in Faro hospital after his own eerily similar attack, which saw both men stabbed while on a stag do after becoming separated from their friends.
