A man police say killed a 37-year-old woman in a deadly hit-and-run crash in July turned himself in.
Evan Michael Joslin, 28,was arrested by Aurora police Sunday, according to the Cherry Hills Village Police Department.
A warrant was issued for Joslin’s arrest in connection with a July 26 crash in Cherry Hills Village that killed Stacy Pepper.
The crash occurred in the 4000 block of South University Boulevard. Police said at the time that she was struck by a truck that was reported stolen and associated with a burglary.
Joslin was booked on six charges; vehicular homicide-reckless driving, failed to remain at the scene of an accident involving death, drove vehicle when license revoked-refusal, speeding, failed to notify police of an accident and displayed fictitious number plate.
Police said the investigation is continuing as they look at the truck, confirming that it was stolen out of Jefferson County and related to a burglary in Arapahoe County.
Her obituary says the driver crossed three lanes of oncoming traffic and crashed into her head-on.
Pepper was originally from Colorado, and she was visiting family. She was living in California.
