Freshers brave the elements in SPEEDOS and short skirts as they hit the town during first week of university

  • Nottingham freshers pranced around the city in ‘budgie smugglers’ and thongs as they celebrated new term
  • Students at Nottingham and Nottingham Trent Universities braved the cold weather in their small outfits
  • Some students were carried home by friends and one even urinated in a doorway yards from police officers
  • Revellers donned a variety of outfits including tennis, swimming, police and Playboy Bunny themed

University freshers went wild and forgot clothes as they pranced around city streets in ‘budgie smugglers’ and thongs last night.

The student city of Nottingham was once again a hive of activity as student freshers arrived at Nottingham Trent University and the University of Nottingham for the start of term this week.

Despite temperatures dipping to 10C last night – enough to need a warm coat – revelling students hit the town wearing little else but Speedos – or ‘budgie smugglers’.

Female students mostly opted – in a huge variety of themes from tennis to cowgirls – for tight tops, short skirts and even thongs.

Some freshers peaked early and were seen worse for wear after being seen carried home by their friends.

One shameless student was even seen urinating in a doorway despite police officers being just a few feet away.

The Autumn term at Nottingham University began this Monday, September 26, as students party the nights away in preparation for a hard year of studying for their degrees.

Term also began at Nottingham Trent on Monday but first years were already on campus after they were invited to a course induction which began on Friday, September 16.

A student who was caught urinating in a doorway had better watch out for these cops!

And if the police don’t get him then maybe the the city’s elite SWAT team will

Students showed great creativity in the wide variety of outfits they displayed while out on the town.

A group of women dressed in unison in outfits inspired by the famous Playboy Bunnies – in tight black dresses accompanied by bow-ties and bunny ears.

A popular theme amongst men and women was tennis, with students donning outfits aping their favourite sporting stars – and one group of women carrying a giant tennis ball with them.

Swimming also appears to be a popular sport at the two universities, with many donning swimwear as some groups of men went topless donning just a pair of Speedos.

Some of their fellow (mildly less exhibitionist) students wore Hawaiian shirts, armbands (maybe they need some help swimming) – and one man wore a fish-themed hat.

A young man and a woman were also pictured embracing each other in a pose for the camera – dressed as a caveman in a toga and a tennis player.

It might be fair to see that with ‘budgie smugglers’ that tight he might have ‘Odd Balls’ (right) by the end of the night
