Kate Middleton's hilarious response to being asked if she was her husband's Prince William's "assistant" proves that she's got a great sense of humour.
The Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke of Cambridge paid an official visit to Cardiff's Shire Hall care home last year.
After speaking with 87-year-old resident Joan Drew-Smith who directly asked Prince William, "Is that your assistant?" while pointing at the future Queen.
A hilarious Kate then interjected and laughingly said to William, "Well, I am your assistant", reports The Mirror.
40-year-old Kate hilariously added: "I have been for a long time!"
During the visit last Summer, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were left in stitches during the face-to-face meeting with the care home residents.
Back in May the year before, the Royal couple visited the Cardiff care home and spoke to staff and residents via video link.
Will and Kate entertained the residents during a virtual bingo game in lockdown in 2020.
Straight talking resident Joan was not afraid to tell it how it was as she said that the royal bingo game "wasn't as good as it should have been."
The Duke said: "Hello Joan, do you remember we did the bingo with you? You said we weren't very good!"
She replied "Yes" and hilariously added "You did a bloody sh***y job."
Her blunt response left the couple in hysterics as they appreciated the directness.
But they got a kinder response from fellow resident Margaret Stocks, 95, winner of the virtual game.
She told them, "I did enjoy it, and I hadn't played it before."
"Neither had we, that's why we were so bad!" replied the Duchess.
William and Kate both sported masks during the visit to the care home's garden, making it tricky to make themselves heard at times.
William told Joan: "We have to wear masks because of the virus but it's difficult to hear sometimes when you can't see someone's mouth."
At this point, Joan asked William "Is that your assistant?".
Which had the future Queen prove that she had a great sense of humour as she said, "Well, I am your assistant. I have been for a long time!"
