A DAD has been charged with murder after his daughter was hit by a car and killed in a crash.
Lauren Malt, 19, was rushed to hospital after a crash in a cul-de-sac in West Winch, Norfolk, on Sunday evening, but tragically died a short time later.
Cops were called to the scene in Leete Way shortly before 7.30pm to reports of a disturbance and that a woman had been hit by a car.
The driver, 44-year-old Nigel Malt, was arrested and has now been charged with murder.
He has been remanded in police custody to appear before Norwich Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.
A Home Office post-mortem examination carried out today has established Lauren's preliminary cause of death as chest and abdominal injuries.
Police say initial enquiries on the night of the incident led to officers to arrest Nigel Malt at the hospital.
He was taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre, where he has been questioned by detectives before being charged.
