Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's rift with the royals is "too big" for Princess Eugenie to heal, a royal expert has warned.
It was speculated earlier this week the 31-year-old could help heal the royal feud between the Duke of Sussex and his family.
She remains an ally and friend to Harry, according to reports, after he upset members of the Royal Family with allegations in public interviews.
However, royal author Phil Dampier says ongoing tensions between the duke and his family are so big, Eugenie's influence is unlikely to be enough.
He told The Sun: "I personally don’t think there’s much Eugenie can do at the moment to heal the rift.
"I think the rift is too deep for her to play a major role in healing it."
Meghan and Harry sat down for a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in March, where allegations of a royal family member making racist remarks on Archie's skin colour before he was born were claimed.
Harry has since made explosive claims himself when he joined Oprah again for their Apple TV The Me You Can't See docu-series, where he said his father Prince Charles caused 'genetic pain and suffering'.

Mr Dampier believes any chance of bringing the royals back together remains slim.
He says Princess Eugenie isn't in a position to help, even if she's pals with the Sussexes.
It's understood she is closer to the Duke than sister Princess Beatrice is, and may have been the one to introduce him to Meghan before they began their whirlwind romance.
"I’m sure that Beatrice will support any moves by Eugenie to try and build bridges and get a dialogue going between William and Harry," Mr Dampier said.
Eugenie knew Meghan after working and living in New York and introduced her to Harry.
Her husband Jack Brooksbank, 35, is also close to the Duchess.
The couple, who have six-month-old son August, were also given the Sussexes; former home, Frogmore Cottage.
Prince Harry has also stayed with the family at the cottage on both of his two visits back to the UK since leaving for California with Meghan, and son Archie, in March 2020.
