Prince Harry's new mega-project with Google has got off to a "flying start", royal biographer and friend of the Sussexes Omid Scobie has revealed.
Google today announced a new initiative with with Harry's non-profit organisation, Travalyst.
The search engine giant will be teaming up with the ex-royal's company to develop a model for calculating carbon emissions from air travel and will be used across the industry as gold standard.
The royal biographer who co-authored 'Finding Freedom' revealed that the project had started off well, Express reports.
"Google’s partnership with Prince Harry’s Travalyst is off to a flying start," he said.
"The company announced today they will now report carbon emissions data for all flights.
"This is alongside the fuel-efficient routing options just added to Google Maps."
Harry last month welcomed Google to his Travalyst sustainable initiative.
The ex-royal's company claimed the partnership was a significant step forward in the pursuit of helping consumers to make more sustainable choices.
In a statement on its website, the company says: "Travalyst is a non-profit organisation working to identify – and help bring about – the systemic changes needed in order for sustainable travel to be taken out of the niche, and into the mainstream.
"We believe tourism can, and must, play a key role in achieving a sustainable future for our world; so we’re convening the key players, and catalysing the necessary action, to change the impact of travel, for good.
"We are committed to being a driving force that redefines what it means to travel, helping everyone explore our world in a way that protects both people and places, and secures a positive future for destinations and local communities for generations to come."
Travalyst is also partnered with Booking.com, Skyscanner, Trip.com Group, Tripadvisor, and Visa.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's visit to New York last week was an embarrassing reality check where "police officers outnumbered fans", another royal commentator claimed.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met New York City mayor Bill de Blasio and New York State Governor Kathy Hochul during the trip last week.
However, ex-Sun royal editor Charlie Rae told TalkRADIO that the Sussexes' star is waning, Express.co.uk reported.
He said: "This is not a royal tour, this is a glorified tourist visit."

Mr Rae added: " Three days in New York, and I think some of the media are getting overexcited.
"There are hardly any crowds there in any of the photos. There are more NYPD officers than anyone else.
"They are meeting dignitaries and staying at the lavish Carlyle hotel, but it is not a royal tour. They no longer have royal duties."
