Three sisters who stabbed their sex abuser dad to death set to be CLEARED after he's officially branded a paedophile

THREE sisters who stabbed their "monster" dad to death could be spared jail after he was officially branded a paedophile.

Fresh psychiatric evaluations from Russian experts have improved the chances of Krestina, Angelina and Maria Khachaturyan being cleared of their father's 2018 murder.

Using his own hunting knife as the weapon, the girls, then 19, 18 and 17, admitted to murdering their dad, claiming they had suffered years of appalling abuse and "systematic torture".

The bloodied body of “evil sex abuser” Mikhail Khachaturyan, 57, was found with “dozens” of stab wounds near the lift in the family’s block of flats.

The two older sisters are facing murder charges while the younger Maria was found mentally unfit to stand trial.

But now the latest evaluation could the three sisters could be cleared of his murder.

The latest findings discovered that the sisters were suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) at the time of the killing and we were in an “unstable” psychological state, fearing for their lives.

Angelina's lawyer, Mari Davtyan, told the court: "The examinations confirmed the father's violence against his daughters.

“The experts found that each of the girls since 2014 suffered from abuse syndrome and post-traumatic stress disorder – all of these conditions have a direct causal relationship to Khachaturian's actions.”

According to the Serbsky Institute of Psychological, Psychiatric and Medical Examination, Khachaturian made repeated death threats to the girls if they failed to succumb to his horrific demands.

The evidence also found that the "tyrant" dad had "special sexual preferences aimed at his own daughters”.

The report found the abusive father manipulated his daughters with threats, violence, humiliation, as well as used “beatings, mocking them, and physical and sexual abuse”.

Evidence showed the father threatened one of his “terrified” daughters: “You will take the place of your mother.

“I will marry you and you will give birth to my baby.”

One expert recalled the horrific abuse the girls had revealed in their evaluations.

“He ordered them to get undressed in front of him, saying that he wanted to ‘check’ them," they said.

“Then ordered them to sexually pleasure him, saying that he had problems with his prostate and it would be a cure.”

The three will argue in court that they acted out of necessary self-defence and lawyers for the three now hope they will be cleared.

Other family members have accused the sisters of lying about their father’s sexual abuse and seeking his money by killing him.

Olga Khalikova, a lawyer for some relatives of the dead man, complained the new conclusions that he was a paedophile “were based solely on the testimony of the accused.”

It was impossible to establish this “on the words of the accused alone.”

Two of the three sisters, Krestina and Angelina Khachaturyan, could be jailed for between eight and 20 years.

In 2019 the former Russian presidential candidate Ksenia Sobchak said it would be a "disgrace to Russian justice" if the sisters were imprisoned.

The girls were the victims of a father with proven “serious mental problems”, she said.
